Road Tunnel Solutions

Latest project:

MULTI-BAND SOLUTION:
for TUNNEL MAINTENANCE, OPERATOR AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR A COUNTRY ROAD TUNNEL – EASTERN EUROPE

Customer Requirement:
To provide an integrated Radio Re-broadcast System.

The Solution:
A Radio Re-Broadcast System, with radiating cable for Emergency Services VHF for both Half Duplex and Simplex channels, Domestic Radio (FM with Audio Break-In). The Break-in system has a local and remote control facility.

As part of our customer’s solution, IRIS engineered the racks, oversaw the installation of the equipment and radio design, commissioned the system and provided the customer with documentation to maintain the system thereafter.

Case studies of our past work:

AM/FM BROADCAST & PMR SOLUTION:
for GENERAL PUBLIC & EMERGENCY SERVICES IN TWO TUNNELS - EUROPE

Customer Requirement:
To provide two separate tunnels, one of 3Km and other 1.25Km in length. Both tunnels were fed independently via On Frequency Repeaters with four FM and two AM Broadcast, one VHF low band channel, three VHF high band channels together, with a port to accept 900MHz GSM.

The Solution:
In each tunnel, all services were combined and transmitted over one common radiating feeder system, providing total RF coverage for each tunnel.
