TETRA & PMR SOLUTION:
for A RAIL OPERATOR, THEIR MAINTENANCE STAFF AND EMERGENCY SERVICES WITHIN SURFACE RAIL, UNDERGROUND AND SURFACE STATIONS - UK

Customer Requirement:
An extension of an existing system to widen operations and engineering channels and radio base stations for local station radio.

The Solution:
A fully duplicated system, using a combination of On Frequency Repeaters to extend the existing system. It provided coverage within the frequency ranges of 150-180 MHz and 450-470 MHz for communication inside the trains, trackside and within all the station areas.

By locating ‘Off Air Repeaters’ at existing central control buildings and sufficient distance from the start of the station extension, all RF signals are distributed to the start of the radiating points under optical fibre. The system incorporated a combination of radiating feeder and antennas to deliver the signals over the whole operating area. The station extension consists of two underground tunnels, each 1.7Km in length, two new underground stations, five above ground stations and 3 Km of open track.

GSM900 & GSM1800 PMR SOLUTION:
for A RAIL OPERATOR, THEIR MAINTENANCE STAFF, EMERGENCY SERVICES, TELEPHONE OPERATORS WITHIN RAIL TUNNELS AND UNDERGROUND STATIONS - UK

Customer Requirement:
To provide a fully duplicated comprehensive communication system.

The Solution:
By using radiating cables throughout the tunnels (12 Km) and a combination of low profile antennas and radiating feeder throughout the whole of the station complexes, the system multiplexes, of all the users who operate in various frequency bands from 70 MHz to 1850 MHz onto one integrated signal radiating system were incorporated in line signal amplification required.

This provided seamless cover for all the PMR and Cellular operators from the surface throughout the whole of the underground system. A full alarm and system monitoring facility was also provided.
